New Service Sunday Mornings at 11am Our new service of Morning Praise is something quite special. It has been six years in the making at St. Luke's Church, Bromley Common and is now becoming increasingly popular at Anglican churches across the country. It has a clear Anglican shape and content, taking a fresh look at how to conduct our traditional service format. Noticeably, there are different words each week, and there is more potential for congregational participation, young and old. There is a wide use of Biblical material that will help the congregation become more familiar with the scriptural foundations that underlie our beliefs and worship. There is a strong seasonal element that gives worshippers a greater awareness of the church calendar and enriches their worship as they engage with with the unfolding story of salvation. Each service sheet contains an introduction to the festival or season being celebrated that Sunday, and then generally follows this format:
The service is interspersed throughout with hymns, both traditional and modern, and with an anthem from our new youth choir. The service overall will last around 45 minutes. Come along this Sunday to see for yourself!
